Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Two-loop coefficient function for DVCS: vector contributions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
Using the approach based on conformal symmetry we calculate the two-loop coefficient function for the vector flavor-nonsinglet contribution to deeply-virtual Compton scattering (DVCS).

Dynamical renormalization group approach to relaxation in quantum field theory

open access: yes, 2003
The real time evolution and relaxation of expectation values of quantum fields and of quantum states are computed as initial value problems by implementing the dynamical renormalization group (DRG).Linear response is invoked to set up the renormalized ...

Group Field Theory and Loop Quantum Gravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this contribution, we introduce the group field theory (GFT) formalism for quantum gravity [1], mainly from the point of view of loop quantum gravity, arguing why it represents, in our opinion, a most promising setting for future developments.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Seeking fixed points in multiple coupling scalar theories in the ε expansion

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
Fixed points for scalar theories in 4 − ε, 6 − ε and 3 − ε dimensions are discussed. It is shown how a large range of known fixed points for the four dimensional case can be obtained by using a general framework with two couplings.

Discrete renormalization group for SU(2) tensorial group field theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This article provides a Wilsonian description of the perturbatively renormalizable Tensorial Group Field Theory introduced in arXiv:1303.6772 [hep-th] (Commun. Math. Phys. 330, 581-637). It is a rank-3 model based on the gauge group SU(2), and as such is

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Bootstrapping hypercubic and hypertetrahedral theories in three dimensions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
There are three generalizations of the Platonic solids that exist in all dimensions, namely the hypertetrahedron, the hypercube, and the hyperoctahedron, with the latter two being dual.

Four-Dimensional Yang-Mills Theory as a Deformation of Topological BF Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The classical action for pure Yang--Mills gauge theory can be formulated as a deformation of the topological $BF$ theory where, beside the two-form field $B$, one has to add one extra-field $\eta$ given by a one-form which transforms as the difference of
