Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Exceptional groups of Lie type as Galois groups.
Der Autor zeigt die Realisierbarkeit der folgenden einfachen Ausnahmegruppen vom Lie-Typ als Galoisgruppen über der maximalen abelschen Erweiterung \({\mathbb{Q}}^ a\) von \({\mathbb{Q}}:\) \((1)\quad^ 2G_ 2(3^{2n+1});\) \((2)\quad G_ 2(q);\) \((3)\quad^ 3D_ 4(q);\) \((4)\quad F_ 4(q),q\equiv 1\quad mod 2;\) \((5)\quad E_ 6(q),\) \(q\equiv -1\quad mod ...

The Divisibility Graph of finite groups of Lie type [PDF]
The Divisibility Graph of a finite group $G$ has vertex set the set of conjugacy class lengths of non-central elements in $G$ and two vertices are connected by an edge if one divides the other. We determine the connected components of the Divisibility Graph of the finite groups of Lie type in odd characteristic.

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Double affine Lie algebras and finite groups
We introduce and begin to study Lie theoretical analogs of symplectic reflection algebras for a finite cyclic group, which we call "cyclic double affine Lie algebra". We focus on type A : in the finite (resp.

Corrigendum to ‘Endoscopy for Hecke categories, character sheaves and representations’
We fix an error on a $3$ -cocycle in the original version of the paper ‘Endoscopy for Hecke categories, character sheaves and representations’. We give the corrected statements of the main results.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Higher Teichm\"uller Spaces: from SL(2,R) to other Lie groups [PDF]
The first part of this paper surveys several characterizations of Teichm\"uller space as a subset of the space of representation of the fundamental group of a surface into PSL(2,R).

Lie symmetry analysis of a class of time fractional nonlinear evolution systems
We study a class of nonlinear evolution systems of time fractional partial differential equations using Lie symmetry analysis. We obtain not only infinitesimal symmetries but also a complete group classification and a classification of group invariant ...
