Combinatorial Hopf algebra of supercharacters of type D [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science, 2012
We provide a Hopf algebra structure on the supercharacter theory for the unipotent upper triangular group of type {D} over a finite field. Also, we make further comments with respect to types {B} and {C}. Type {A} was explored by M. Aguiar et. al (2010),

A study of Bogoyavlenskii’s (2+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equation: Lie symmetry, dynamical behaviors and closed-form solutions

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
This paper employs the Lie symmetry analysis to investigate novel closed-form solutions to a (2+1)-dimensional Bogoyavlenskii’s breaking soliton equation.

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Spinors and Voros star-product for Group Field Theory: First Contact

open access: yes, 2011
In the context of non-commutative geometries, we develop a group Fourier transform for the Lie group SU(2). Our method is based on the Schwinger representation of the Lie algebra su(2) in terms of spinors. It allows us to prove that the non-commutative R^

Isometries in finite groups of Lie type

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1973
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the isometries in finite groups of lie type. Let G be a connected semisimple linear algebraic group and σ a surjective endomorphism of G, such that the group of fixed points G σ = G is finite. Then G is a finite group of Lie type. Let T be a maximal torus of G fixed by σ and T = T, H = N G (T), H/T = W. Then T

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Natural Representations of Black Box Groups SL2(Fq)

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we make one step further in the recognition of black box groups of Lie type: given a black box group encrypting a special linear group of dimension 2 over a finite field of an unknown odd characteristic, we construct a black box field and ...
