An Improved Group Signature Scheme

2005
As a special digital signature, a group signature scheme allows a group member to sign message on behalf of the group in an anonymous and unlinkability way, In case of a dispute, a designated group manager can reveal the actual identity of the signer. Anonymity and unlinkability are basic properties of group signature, which distinguish other signature

Group Signatures with Decentralized Tracing

2020
Group signature is a useful cryptographic primitive that allows a message to be signed by a user on behalf of a group which is managed by some trusted authority, namely the group manager. However, group signature schemes typically place a disturbingly high level of trust on the group manager, which has become a major deployment issue in cyber ...

Adaptable Designated Group Signature

2006
An adaptable designated group signature is presented in this paper. In contrast with traditional group oriented signature, the new one laid a strong emphasis on how to improve the signer’s efficiency. In fact, this new type of designated group signature can be seen as a type of designated verifier signature.

Group cryptography: Signature and encryption.

Informatica (Slovenia), 2002
Summary: Traditional group signature schemes reflect only one side of the spectrum of public cryptography, i.e., signing, where the group public key is used for a sole purpose: verification of group signatures. This paper describes a new group cryptographic system that presents a promise for both signing and encryption.

Group signatures for hierarchical multigroups

1998
At Eurocrypt'91, D. Chaum and E. Heyst introduced the notion of group signatures, which allow members of a group to make signatures on behalf of the group while remaining anonymous. This paper first presents a new type of group signatures for hierarchical multigroups.

Ad Hoc Group Signatures

2006
The main advantage of ring signatures is to ensure anonymity in ad hoc groups. However, since a group manager is not present in ad hoc groups, there is no existing way to identify the signer who is responsible for or benefit from a disputed ring signature. In this paper, we address this issue by formalizing the notion of ad hoc group signature.

Tracing-by-Linking Group Signatures

2005
In a group signature [19], any group member can sign on behalf of the group while remaining anonymous, but its identity can be traced in an future dispute investigation. Essentially all state-of-the-art group signatures implement the tracing mechnism by requiring the signer to escrow its identity to an Open Authority (OA) [2, 13, 4, 25, 5, 7, 24].

Foundations of Group Signatures: The Case of Dynamic Groups

2005
Recently, a first step toward establishing foundations for group signatures was taken [5], with a treatment of the case where the group is static. However the bulk of existing practical schemes and applications are for dynamic groups, and these involve important new elements and security issues.

Group signatures

2008
Group signatures make it possible for group members to sign messages on behalf of the group, while not revealing the signer's identity. Only the group's revocation manager, who is in possession of a secret key for signature opening, can identify the signer.
