Group refractive index and group velocity dispersion measurement by complex master slave interferometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper demonstrates that the complex master slave interferometry (CMSI) method used in spectral domain interferometry (SDI) can efficiently be used for accurate refractive index and group velocity dispersion measurements of optically transparent ...

BROADBAND METHOD FOR GROUP VELOCITY DISPERSION MEASUREMENTS IN THE MID-INFRARED

open access: yesПриборы и методы измерений, 2015
A setup for broadband measurements of dispersion parameter in optical fibers based on the Mach–Zehnder interferometer is developed. Tm-doped fiber pumped at 1.61 μm was used as a source of broadband emission, that allowed to achieve the measurement ...

Understanding Dispersion of Revolver-Type Anti-Resonant Hollow Core Fibers

open access: yesFibers, 2018
Here, we analyze the dispersion behavior of revolver-type anti-resonant hollow core fibers, revealing that the chromatic dispersion of this type of fiber geometry is dominated by the resonances of the glass annuluses, whereas the actual arrangement of ...

Kerr nonlinearity and group velocity dispersion of InGaAs/InP and GaAsSb/InP waveguides in the mid-infrared

open access: yesAPL Photonics, 2023
We report measurements of Kerr nonlinearity and group velocity dispersion in In0.53Ga0.47As/InP and GaAs0.51Sb0.49/InP ridge waveguides in the mid-infrared using four-wave mixing at λ ≈ 5 µm.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Intermodal group velocity dispersion of few-mode fiber

open access: yesIEICE Electronics Express, 2010
The intermodal dispersion of few-mode fiber limits the propagation distance of mode division multiplexing (MDM). We numerically investigate the propagation constant and group velocity of few-mode fibers. The refractive index profile of few-mode fibers should be designed to achieve long and dense MDM transmissions with digital coherent receivers.

Importin 7 mediates the nuclear import of HIV‐1 integrase via a specific interacting interface

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
HIV‐1 integrase enables viral DNA integration into the host genome. By binding to the core domain of the host protein Importin 7 via its C‐terminal domain, the integrase is transported across the nuclear membrane into the nucleus, where integration of the viral genome into host DNA takes place. This translocation is a critical step for subsequent viral

Femtosecond filamentation of optical vortex in a medium with anomalous group velocity dispersion

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
Within the framework of the slowly varying wave approximation method, the pictures of spatio-temporal dynamics of femtosecond pulse in a ring beam with phase singularity were obtained during propagation in CaF2 crystal with anomalous group velocity ...

Group index and group velocity dispersion in silicon-on-insulator photonic wires

open access: yesOptics Express, 2006
We determine group index and group velocity dispersion (GVD) of SOI single-mode strip waveguides (photonic wires) with 525×226nm cross-section over the entire telecommunication bandwidth by employing an integrated Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The measured GVD yields 4400 ps/(nm∙km) at 1550 nm and exceeds that of standard single-mode fibers by almost ...

Dose‐dependent hepatotoxicity of hydrogen peroxide in HepG2 cells and its modulation by CYP450 induction

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...
