An Economic Order Quantity Model for Growing Items with Imperfect Quality and Shortages
Arabian Journal for Science and Engineering, 2021Inventory models of growing items are used when the stored items (such as poultry, fish, and livestock) have the capability to grow during the inventory replenishment cycle. This paper extends inventory models for growing items by considering quality aspects, permissible shortages with complete backordering, and holding cost during both the growth ...

In this article, a multi-echelon supply chain for growing and deteriorating items, where the grower has a lot of live newborn items (growing) is discussed. The grower transfers the matured inventory to the processor in each shipment. The processor begins to process the stock as a ready-sale product in the market.

Modeling and optimization of multi-item multi-constrained EOQ model for growing items
Knowledge-Based Systems, 2019Abstract In this paper, a new mathematical model is presented, for the first time, for multi-item economic order quantity for growing items considering various operational constraints. The model aims to maximize company’s total profit by determining the optimal values of the decision variables including: number of ordered items from each type and the

Inventory management research for growing items with carbon-constrained
2016 35th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2016Growing items need to be fed among the process from purchase to sale, in which the weight of inventory changes over time, as well as the inventory behavior. Nowadays, since the consumers prefer to low carbon goods and the government require low carbon operation, so the retailers have to make efforts to reduce the carbon emissions in operation, which ...

Three-echelon supply chain inventory model for growing items
Journal of Modelling in Management, 2019Purpose The purpose of this paper is to formulate a coordinated inventory control model for growing items in a supply chain with farming, processing and retail operations. The farmer grows newborn items and then delivers them to a processor once the items mature. At the processing plant, the items are slaughtered, cut and packaged at a specified rate.

An Inventory Model for Growing Items with Deterioration and Trade Credit
2021Growing items industry plays a vital role in the economy of most of the countries. Growing item industries consists of live stocks like sheep, fishes, pigs, chickens etc. In this paper, we developed a mathematical model for growing items by considering various operational constraints.

Economic order quantity for growing items
International Journal of Production Economics, 2014Abstract Economic order/production quantity (EOQ/EPQ) models have generally been presented for manufacturing products. Incorporating some important features of a specific category of products, different EOQ/EPQ models have been proposed in literature. This study proposes a new class of inventory models, i.e.

Profit function Optimization for Growing Items Industry
2023 6th International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Networks (ISCON), 2023The economy of a country depends on many industries; growing item industries are one of them. Growing items also exhibit mortality in the growth period, which creates a complex environment for the procurement decision.
