Leveraging Multifaceted Polyphenol Interactions: An Approach for Hair Loss Mitigation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study presents tannic acid as an effective alternative to traditional hair loss treatments. Acting as an adhesion mediator, tannic acid binds to keratin on the hair surface and sequesters SCANDAL—a blend of salicylic acid, niacinamide, and dexpanthenol—allowing gradual release to hair follicles.

3D Printed Magnetic Origami Scaffolds for Guided Tissue Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
3D‐printed magnetic origami scaffolds enhance 3D coculture by directing cell proliferation pre‐folding, restricting expansion for controlled growth within the channel, and spatially and temporally promoting 3D multicellular dissemination post‐folding.

On the Relentless Pursuit of an Oral Insulin Delivery System: How Far is Too Far?

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Injectable insulin preparations have far outpaced oral ones by virtue of adequate bioavailability and are driven by innovations, including insulin pumps, real‐time blood glucose monitoring, and artificial intelligence. In contrast, oral insulin delivery systems, including nanomedicines, continue to struggle and lag due to varied reasons.

The effect of fetal ethanol exposure on postnatal pituitary growth hormone content and circulating growth hormone levels [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
This experiment examines the effect of feeding an ethanol diet to pregnant rats on their offspring. Ethanol has been found to retard fetal growth and alter the synthesis and release of a number of growth factors both in humans and laboratory animals.

LightRoseTTA: High‐Efficient and Accurate Protein Structure Prediction Using a Light‐Weight Deep Graph Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Accurately predicting protein structure is of great significance in biological research. LightRoseTTA, a light‐weight deep graph network, to achieve prediction for proteins is presented. Notably, three highlights are possessed by LightRoseTTA: i) high‐accurate structure prediction for proteins; ii) high‐efficient training and inference; and iii) low ...
