Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Influence of phosphine flow rate on Si growth rate in gas source molecular beam epitaxy
As reported by other authors, we have also observed that the Si growth rate decreases with increasing phosphine (PH3) flow rate in gas source-Si molecular beam epitaxy using phosphorous (P) as a n-type dopant.

The self-seeded growth of InAsSb nanowires on silicon by metal-organic vapor phase epitaxy
We present a study on the growth of InAs1-xSbx alloy nanowires directly on Si (111) substrates via a self seeded mechanism for the first time. Through varying group V flow rate ratios, InAs1-xSbx nanowires with x = from 0 to 0.43 are obtained.

Soil acidification and liming in grassland production and grassland soil fertility in Slovenia
This paper reviews the evidences on grassland soil acidity and liming in relation to soil processes and herbage production. There is also an outline of the present state of soil acidity and acidity-related traits – contents of organic matter (OM ...

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Grow or die: A 49‐year growth history of a Japanese warm‐temperate tree species
The growth trajectories of trees are not fully understood due to their long life span. We characterized the population dynamics of the canopy tree Castanopsis cuspidata (Thunb.) Schottky in a Japanese warm‐temperate forest over 49 years (1966–2015).

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

R&D and firm growth rate variance [PDF]
Investment in R&D is positively associated with the variance of sales growth and, to a lesser extent, employment growth. The magnitude of this effect has not increased in recent decades, however.R&D, Firm growth, growth rate variance, employment growth ...

Natural History and Management of Ultrasound-detected Small Renal Angiomyolipoma
Background: Recent advances in imaging methods increased the incidental detection of small renal angiomyolipoma (AML). However, guidelines for managing small AML are lacking, and decisions about imaging frequency and timing of intervention are made on an
