Comparison of Phenolics and Phenolic Acid Profiles in Conjunction with Oxygen Radical Absorbing Capacity (ORAC) in Berries of Vaccinium arctostaphylos L. and V. myrtillus L.

open access: yesPolish Journal of Food and Nutrition Sciences, 2016
Caucasian blueberry (Vaccinium arctostaphylos L.) and bilberry (V. myrtillus L.), both native to Turkey, were evaluated for their total phenolics (TP) and anthocyanin (TAC) contents.

The HY5-PIF regulatory module coordinates light and temperature control of photosynthetic gene transcription [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The ability to interpret daily and seasonal alterations in light and temperature signals is essential for plant survival. This is particularly important during seedling establishment when the phytochrome photoreceptors activate photosynthetic pigment ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

A Fast and Reliable UHPLC–MS/MS-Based Method for Screening Selected Pharmacologically Significant Natural Plant Indole Alkaloids

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
Many substances of secondary plant metabolism have often attracted the attention of scientists and the public because they have certain beneficial effects on human health, although the reason for their biosynthesis in the plant remains unclear.

Molecular genetics of auxin signaling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The plant hormone auxin is a simple molecule similar to tryptophan, yet it elicits a diverse array of responses and is involved in the regulation of growth and development throughout the plant life cycle.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF SULFUR NANOPARTICLES OBTAINED FROM SODIUM POLYSULFIDE AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS [PDF]

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2013
Studied the process of the formation of nanoparticles sulfur obtained by mixing polysulfides with of organic and inorganic acids solutions. We revealed a significant acceleration of the growth of plants with the introduction of nanoparticles sulfur in ...

Fertirrigação e regulador de crescimento na produção de mudas de café em tubete [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The use of quality seedlings is important in establishing a productive coffee crop. However, the most widely used method to produce coffee seedlings is time consuming (6-12 months) and lacks new production technologies.
