Advanced Hybrid Techniques for Cyberattack Detection and Defense in IoT Networks

open access: yesSECURITY AND PRIVACY, Volume 8, Issue 2, March/April 2025.
ABSTRACT The Internet of Things (IoT) represents a vast network of devices connected to the Internet, making it easier for users to connect to modern technology. However, the complexity of these networks and the large volume of data pose significant challenges in protecting them from persistent cyberattacks, such as distributed denial‐of‐service (DDoS)

Vision language models for bridge inspections: A review of applications in image‐based damage documentation

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Automating bridge inspections requires more than detecting individual damage instances. It demands systems capable of describing, contextualizing, and interpreting damage in an inspection‐relevant manner. Conventional computer vision approaches, such as object detection and segmentation, primarily address visual recognition tasks and are ...

Micronuclei and Other Nuclear Abnormalities in Patella Limpet as Biomarkers of Cytogenotoxicity in Recreational Port Waters

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Over the past decades, the growth in human population and economic activities has led to an increase in maritime traffic. This rise puts additional pressure on marine environments, vessel fuel spills being considered to have a major impact on the ecosystem.

Reinforcement Learning With Timed Constraints for Robotics Motion Planning

open access: yesArtificial Intelligence for Engineering, EarlyView.
This work presents a unified automata‐based reinforcement learning framework that enforces MITL time‐bounded task specifications in both MDPs and POMDPs. Results from grid‐world and office scenarios show robust policy learning under stochastic dynamics and partial observability.

CDFNet: Cross‐Modal Deep Fusion for Monocular 3D Semantic Scene Completion

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Semantic scene completion (SSC) aims to predict the semantic occupancy and geometry of 3D scenes. Recently, most studies focus on camera‐based approaches due to the rich visual cues of images and the cost‐effectiveness of cameras. However, these methods usually lack efficient fusion and fine‐grained processing of cross‐modal semantic ...

A Novel Full‐Chain Loop Tracking Auditing Framework for Obtaining Audit Evidence With Reasonable Assurance

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As an attestation engagement, auditing is required to provide reasonable assurance for its conclusions. Traditional auditing has limited capacity to handle unstructured data and is usually based on audit sampling techniques, which can lead to the neglect of important audit evidence during the auditing process and result in a higher audit risk,

A Multi‐Agent Bidding Strategy in Day‐Ahead Joint Energy and Reserve Markets Considering Risk Preferences

open access: yesIET Smart Energy Systems, EarlyView.
A PER‐MATD3‐based bidding model for generators in day‐ahead joint energy and reserve markets is proposed. An aggressiveness coefficient quantifies risk preference, KAN improves interpretability and simulation results demonstrate enhanced coordinated decision‐making and training stability.
