An unusual titanosaur axis from the Upper Cretaceous of Brazil and its significance for sauropod anatomy and systematics

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The Upper Cretaceous São José do Rio Preto Formation (Bauru Group, southeastern Brazil) has yielded a fragmentary but taxonomically diverse record of titanosaur sauropods, although elements from cervical series remain scarce. Here, we describe a nearly complete sauropod axis from the Vila Ventura Paleontological Area, representing an uncommon ...

Engineering Long Range Distance Independent Entanglement through Kondo Impurities in Spin Chains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We investigate the entanglement properties of the Kondo spin chain when it is prepared in its ground state as well as its dynamics following a single bond quench.

Efficacy, safety and cost‐effectiveness of CAR‐T therapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
CAR T‐cells demonstrate high efficacy in blood cancers, including ALL, MM and DLBCL. Innovations target solid tumours despite challenges such as antigen escape. Combination therapies enhance the delivery and infiltration of CAR T cells. Toxicity, cost and resistance remain major barriers to clinical use.

Turning Carbon Into Cash? Cross‐Country Evidence on the Profitability of Emission Reductions

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Does corporate CO2 abatement pay? We assembled an international panel of listed firms (2019–2023), linking Scope 1–2 emissions to institutional (G7, CCPI) and search‐based attention measures. The dataset consists of an unbalanced panel of 1724 multinational firms, together with a sub‐sample of 922 firms operating in G7 economies. Firm and time

In-situ characterization of radiation hardness of scintillating targets using heavy ion beams [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Scintillating materials are of interest for numerous applications related to ionizing radiation. Exposure to radiation induces damage in these materials, resulting in degradation of their scintillation properties.

Serious Infection in Crohn's Disease Patients Treated With Ustekinumab: US Food and Drug Administration Active Postmarket Risk Identification and Analysis in the Sentinel Initiative

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) used an Active Postmarket Risk Identification and Analysis (ARIA) system to address a safety issue (serious infection) identified during clinical review of an application to market ustekinumab as a treatment for Crohn's disease (CD). FDA used an active‐comparator new‐user cohort design, data from six Sentinel

Cholecystectomy reduces the risk of myocardial and cerebral infarction in patients with gallstone-related infection

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
We compared the risk of myocardial infarction (MI) or cerebral infarction (CI) in patients with or without-gallstone-related infection (GSI) and change in the risk following cholecystectomy.
