Three experiments show that the magnitude of the unconditioned GSR to tones of equal intensity is largest between 10,000 and 20,000 Hz and is a valid index of the frequency sensitivity of the mouse. These findings agree well with cochlear potential findings and single unit response areas, and suggest that the magnitude of the unconditioned GSR might be

Test Anxiety, GSR and Academic Achievement
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1971To determine the relationship between a self-report measure of test anxiety and GSRs recorded during an actual course examination, GSRs were obtained from 57 Ss on two separate occasions; the first involving neutral questions and the second, psychology examination questions.

A Data Driven Empirical Iterative Algorithm for GSR Signal Pre-Processing
European Signal Processing Conference, 2018In this paper, we introduce a data driven iterative low pass filtering technique, the Empirical Iterative Algorithm (EIA) for Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) signal preprocessing.

SELECTIVE ATTENTION AND INSTRUMENTAL MODIFICATION OF THE GSR
Psychophysiology, 1968ABSTRACTA series of experiments were conducted on instrumental modification of the Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) in a discrimination procedure where preparatory signals indicated which discriminative stimulus was to occur. When shock avoidance was contingent upon the presence of a response the GSR was enhanced; when shock avoidance was contingent upon ...

Group GSR Technique in the Detection of Deception
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1967A technique to average GSR across Ss is proposed to facilitate detection of deception. Differential responsivity to “lie” vs “neutral” stimuli is augmented by averaging out idiosyncratic responses to neutral stimuli. Its feasibility was demonstrated by recording individual and group GSRs of Ss questioned in small groups.

GSR CONDITIONING AND PSEUDOCONDITIONING
British Journal of Psychology, 1962Subjects were placed into conditioning or pseudoconditioning groups, and received one, three, or five UCS trials (paired with CS or single). The sequence of the schedule was: ten light stimuli—tones (the UCS)—ten light stimuli. Significantly more GSR's were given to the final light series than to the first.

AVOIDANCE CONDITIONING OF THE GSR: NATURE OF THE RESPONSE
Psychophysiology, 1970ABSTRACTThe effects of avoidance conditioning of the GSR on HR responses were investigated. Seven Ss were allowed to avoid a shock if their GSR during a preceding 5.0 sec light was greater than a criterion magnitude. Each avoidance S had a yoked‐control partner who received exactly the same series of shocked and nonshocked trials, regardless of his own

Voluntary Control of GSRS and Reports of Sweating
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1973The results of two previous studies (Stern Kaplan, 1967; Stern & Lewis, 1968) have shown that those Ss who were best able to control their galvanic skin responses (GSRs) usually reported that their primary bodily response co real-life suess was sweating.
