GSR Responses to Fear-Related Stimuli

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1967
GSR responses to a set of tachistoscopically presented color slides were compared for 10 Ss who reported intense fear of spiders and 10 Ss admitting no unreasonable fears. Employing the index, ratio of response to spider-pictures over response to neutral stimuli (landscapes), perfect discrimination between the 2 groups of Ss was obtained.

A FURTHER ATTEMPT AT DELAYED GSR CONDITIONING

British Journal of Psychology, 1963
A delayed conditioning schedule was employed so that latency and frequency changes of all GSRs occurring in the CS‐UCS interval could be followed. Two experimental groups received initial (simultaneous) pairings of CS–UCS, and four control groups received initial CS series only, prior to the introduction of the delayed series.

Hearing in Mice via GSR Audiometry

Journal of Speech and Hearing Research, 1963
Hearing in mice has been difficult to measure behaviorally. With GSR as the basic tool, the sensitivity curve to pure tones in mice has been successfully outlined. The most sensitive frequency-intensity combination was 15 000 cps at 0-5 dB re: 0.0002 dyne/cm 2 , with responses noted from 1 000 to beyond 70 000 cps ...
