The intermolecular dimer potential for guanine
The ab initio intermolecular potential of guanine has been developed with the help of a combination of symmetry-adapted perturbation theory and density functional theory (DFT). The resulting potential has been globally optimized to locate the guanine cluster structures up to tetramers.

This experiment investigates the development of a highly sensitive biosensor platform incorporating AuNPs with TiO2‐NTs as electrode materials. Robust PNA probes and an optimized hybridization protocol are employed to enhance performance. An appropriate level of AuNPs on the surface effectively prevents non‐specific binding of target DNA fragments ...

Structural Insights into an Antiparallel Chair‐Type G‐Quadruplex From the Intron of NOP56 Oncogene
This study first reports that the intron 1 of NOP56 oncogene forms an antiparallel chair‐type G4 structure composed of two G‐tetrads and one C∙G∙C∙G tetrad. NOP56 gene transcription can be inhibited by PDS that binds and stabilizes NOP56‐G4. Solution NMR structures of the free NOP56‐G4 and NOP56‐G4‐PDS complex provide valuable insights into G4 ...

Spin transport and polarization properties of manganese-doped dual-guanine molecule [PDF]
We study the spin transport and polarization properties of manganese-doped dual-guanine molecules connected to graphene leads using non-equilibrium Green's function method. It is shown that a manganese doped dual-guanine molecule is a biological semiconductor and behaves as a prefect spin filter.

Global deformation facilitates flipping of damaged 8-oxo-guanine and guanine in DNA [PDF]
Oxidation of guanine (Gua) to form 7,8-dihydro-8-oxoguanine (8oxoG) is a frequent mutagenic DNA lesion. DNA repair glycosylases such as the bacterial MutM can effciently recognize and eliminate the 8oxoG damage by base excision. The base excision requires a 8oxoG looping out (flipping) from an intrahelical base paired to an extrahelical state where the

A Method for Constructing Nucleosome Arrays with Spatially Defined Histone PTMs and DNA Damage
This work advances methodology by addressing challenges in mimicking the complex in vivo spatial relationships of histone acetylation and DNA damage. The combination of an abiotic/enzymatic hybrid catalyst system (ABEHCS) and the plug‐and‐play method has constituted a versatile platform to construct nucleosome arrays with precise histone acetylation ...

High‐Speed Hyperspectral Imaging for Near Infrared Fluorescence and Environmental Monitoring
This study introduces a fast hyperspectral imaging method in the near‐infrared range (HyperNIR). Combining tunable polarization optics with a phasor‐based approach, HyperNIR captures detailed spectral information with just three images. The applicability is showcased by distinguishing NIR fluorophores that are separated by 5 nm.
