Guanosine diphosphate–mannose suppresses homologous recombination repair and potentiates antitumor immunity in triple-negative breast cancer

Science Translational Medicine
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most aggressive subtype of breast cancer with poor prognosis. TNBCs with high homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) scores benefit from DNA-damaging agents, including platinum drugs and poly(ADP-ribose ...

Control of synthesis of guanosine 5′-diphosphate d-mannose and guanosine 5′-diphosphate l-fucose in bacteria☆

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - General Subjects, 1966
Abstract The control of the synthesis of GDP- d -mannose and GDP- l -fucose has been studied in various classes of bacteria. In those species which contain l -fucose but no d -mannose in their polysaccharides, GDP- l -fucose inhibits both GDP- d -mannose pyrophosphorylase (GTP: α- d -mannose-1-phosphate guanylyltransferase, EC 2.7.7.13) and GDP- d -

A Radioimmunoassay for Guanosine-5′-Diphosphate-3′-Diphosphate and Adenosine-5′-Triphosphate-3′-Diphosphate

The Journal of Biochemistry, 1980
A radioimmunoassay for guanosine-5'-diphosphate-3'-diphosphate (ppGpp) and adenosine-5'-triphosphate-3'-diphosphate (pppApp) has been developed. The assay method is based on competition of an unlabeled highly phosphorylated nucleotide with 3H-labeled highly phosphorylated nucleotide for binding sites on a specific antibody.

Presence of Guanosine 5'-Diphosphate 3'-Diphosphate in Bacillus subtilis Vegetative Cells

The Journal of Biochemistry, 1981
Extracts of Bacillus subtilis vegetative cells with 2 M formic acid contained a large amount of a hyperphosphorylated nucleotide ("spot 4" nucleotide). The compound always comigrated with authentic guanosine 5'-diphosphate 3'-diphosphate (ppGpp) on two-dimensional polyethyleneimine (PEI)-cellulose thin-layer chromatography performed with three ...

Direct incorporation of guanosine 5-diphosphate into microtubules without guanosine 5'-triphosphate hydrolysis

Biochemistry, 1986
Using highly purified calf brain tubulin bearing [8-14C]guanosine 5'-diphosphate (GDP) in the exchangeable nucleotide site and heat-treated microtubule-associated proteins (both components containing negligible amounts of nucleoside diphosphate kinase and nonspecific phosphatase activities), we have found that a significant proportion of exchangeable ...

Eukaryotic ribosomal proteins stimulate Escherichia coli stringent factor to synthesize guanosine 5′-diphosphate, 3′-diphosphate (ppGpp) and guanosine 5′-triphosphate, 3′-diphosphate (pppGpp)

Molecular and General Genetics MGG, 1978
When supplemented with Escherichia coli stringent factor, 80S ribosomes from various sources failed to support guanosine tetra- and pentaphosphate ((p)ppGpp) synthesis. In contrast, ribosomal proteins from 80S, 60S or 40S particles (mouse embryos, rabbit reticulocytes) crossreacted with the E. coli stringent factor.

A rapid method for the determination of guanosine 5′-diphosphate-3′-diphosphate and guanosine 5′-triphosphate-3′-diphosphate by high-performance liquid chromatography

Analytical Biochemistry, 1982
Abstract A method is described for the rapid analysis of the nucleotides, guanosine 5′-diphosphate-3′-diphosphate (ppGpp) and guanosine 5′-triphosphate-3′-diphosphate (pppGpp), by high-performance liquid chromatography. It has been found that the inclusion of magnesium acetate in the potassium phosphate buffer facilitates elution of these highly ...

Synthesis of guanosine 5′-diphosphate, 3′-diphosphate in spot mutants of Escherichia coli

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1977
The synthesis of ppGpp in spoT- mutants of Escherichia coli has been invesitgated. In these mutants the first-order rate constant for ppGpp breakdown is low, and pppGpp is barely detectable. It is shown that the rate of pppGpp, and hence ppGpp, synthesis is strongly reduced compared with that observed in spot+ strains.

Selective Inhibition of tRNATyr Transcription by Guanosine 3′‐Diphosphate 5′‐Diphosphate

European Journal of Biochemistry, 1977
Guanosine 3′‐diphosphate 5′‐diphosphate (ppGpp) selectively reduces the synthesis of su+III tRNA from θ80 psu+III DNA relative to the synthesis of θ80 RNA in a system in vitro containing DNA and Escherichia coli RNA polymerase holoenzyme as the sole macromolecular components.
