Binding of Oxovanadium(IV) to Guanosine 5‘-Monophosphate
Inorganic Chemistry, 1996In basic aqueous solution guanosine 5‘-monophosphate forms a bis-complex with VOIV in which the metal ion is coordinated to the cis couples of C(2‘) and C(3‘) deprotonated hydroxyls. With increasing concentration, hydrogen-bonding interactions between ligand molecules force the monomeric complex species to join together, bringing a phosphate group from

Self-organization of guanosine 5′-monophosphate on mica
Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2007Self-assembled aggregates of guanosine 5'-monophosphate (GMP) on the surface of muscovite mica were investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM). Aqueous solutions of sodium, potassium and ammonium GMP salts were studied. For solution concentrations c < 0.005 wt% only small islands of deposited material are present on the surface.

Molecular Conformation of Guanosine 3,′5′-Cyclic Monophosphate
Nature New Biology, 1973THE molecular structure of 5′-methylene adenosine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphonate (cyclic AMP analogue), a synthetic cyclic nucleotide, has been reported1,2. Here we report the molecular structure of the naturally occurring cyclic nucleotide guanosine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphate (cyclic GMP).

Urinary Excretion of Adenosine 3′,5′-Monophosphate and Guanosine 3′,5′-Monophosphate
New England Journal of Medicine, 1972Abstract The urinary excretion of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (AMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (GMP) was examined in normal controls, 16 patients with hyperparathyroidism and six with hypoparathyroidism. The diurnal pattern of excretion of both nucleotides was not altered by either exercise or altered parathyroid function. Whereas calcitonin

Reaction of guanosine, 2′-deoxyguanosine and guanosine-5′-monophosphate with glucose
Carbohydrate Research, 1994Reactions of reducing sugars with amino acids, proteins or simple amines have been thoroughly investigated. This area of research is of great interest not only in food chemistry but also in medical biochemistry. Evidence has been accumulated that nonenzymatic glycosylation is of relevance in diabetic complications and probably in age related changeslT2.

Organophosphates of urine, including adenosine 3′,5′-monophosphate and guanosine 3′,5′-monophosphate
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1967Abstract The presence of organic phosphorus compounds in the urine of healthy rats has been investigated. The animals were administered [ 32 P]phosphate intraperitoneally to facilitate recognition and study of the metabolically derived P-containing components.

Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate (CAMP) and Cyclic Guanosine Monophosphate (CGMP)
Abstract Human physiology is highly dependent on a well-coordinated system of communication between cells. A multitude of external signals, including hormones, neurotransmitters, and other molecules, interact with cells via specific cell-surface receptors.Dominika Lipowska James +1 more

A microassay for guanosine 3′,5′-monophosphate phosphodiesterase activity
Analytical Biochemistry, 1974Abstract The activity of cyclic GMP phosphodiesterase was determined using a three step procedure. In the first step, cyclic GMP phosphodiesterase catalyzes the conversion of cyclic GMP to 5′-GMP. In the second step, a known amount of ATP and guanylate kinase are incubated with the 5′-GMP formed in the first step.
