Peri-implantite: regeneração óssea guiada vs osso pristino [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Objetivo: Comparar os resultados da colocação de implantes recorrendo a técnicas de regeneração óssea guiada, com situações em que não foi feito qualquer tipo de regeneração (osso pristino).

Recent Advances in Vertical Alveolar Bone Augmentation Using Additive Manufacturing Technologies

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2022
Vertical bone augmentation is aimed at regenerating bone extraskeletally (outside the skeletal envelope) in order to increase bone height. It is generally required in the case of moderate to severe atrophy of bone in the oral cavity due to tooth loss ...

The Effect of Biologic Materials and Oral Steroids on Radiographic and Clinical Outcomes of Horizontal Alveolar Ridge Augmentation. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The purpose of this study was to investigate if the addition of biologic materials and/or oral steroids would affect horizontal bone gain, or the bone density of the grafted bone in horizontal alveolar ridge augmentations.

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Evaluation of the effects of the systemic proton pump inhibitor-omeprazole on periimplant bone regeneration and osseointegration: An experimental study

open access: yesJournal of Oral Biology and Craniofacial Research, 2022
Objective: Investigations of the effects of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) on bone healing have revealed that they affect bone regeneration negatively. The exact mechanism by which this adverse effect on bone tissue is not known.

Porcine bone scaffolds adsorb growth factors secreted by MSCs and improve bone tissue repair [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
An ideal tissue-engineered bone graft should have both excellent pro-osteogenesis and pro-angiogenesis properties to rapidly realize the bone regeneration in vivo . To meet this goal, in this work a porcine bone scaffold was successfully used as a Trojan
