In this paper, a novel de-ghosting image fusion technique is presented, which enhances the quality of low dynamic range images using multi-level exposures taken from the ordinary camera and also removes the ghosting artifact.

Backward Filtering Forward Guiding. [PDF]
We study smoothing for discrete- and continuous-time stochastic processes on directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) when observations are available only at the leaf nodes, a problem common in phylogenetics, epidemiology, and signal processing. We introduce a unified framework built around guiding (also called twisting): a change-of-measure defined by guiding ...

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Generally, the dynamic range of night vision scenes is large. Owing to the limited dynamic range of traditional low light imaging technology, the captured images are always partially overexposed or underexposed.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Edge-Detected Guided Morphological Filter for Image Sharpening
A new edge-guided morphological filter is proposed to sharpen digital images. This is done by detecting the positions of the edges and then applying a class of morphological filtering.

In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Improved active sub-terahertz imaging system for parcel inspection
Terahertz radiation has emerged as a prominent solution for imaging and detection beyond visible and infrared. Active terahertz imaging is a widely used technology in this context especially for security applications and screening. Such systems are built

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
