Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a disease with very poor prognosis due to therapeutic limitations. We investigated the antitumor effects of cystatin A (CSTA) in PDAC murine models. We are first to confirm that CSTA enhances T helper type 1‐mediated antitumor effects through promotion of dendritic cells and M1 macrophage activity. CSTA can be

This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Host-Gut Microbiota Metabolic Interactions
The composition and activity of the gut microbiota codevelop with the host from birth and is subject to a complex interplay that depends on the host genome, nutrition, and life-style.

Updated values of running quark and lepton masses at GUT scale in SM, 2HDM and MSSM [PDF]
Updated values of running quark and lepton masses at GUT (Grand unified theories) scales are important for fermion mass model building, and to calculate neutrino masses, in GUTs . We present their values at GUT scales, in SM, MSSM and 2HDM theories, using the latest values of running quark and lepton masses.

Low expression of five purine metabolism‐related genes (ADSL, APRT, ADCY3, NME3, NME6) was correlated with poor survival in colorectal cancer. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that low NME3 (early stage) and low ADSL/NME6 (late stage) levels were associated with high risk.

Gravitational GUT Breaking and the GUT-Planck Hierarchy
It is shown that non-renormalizable gravitational interactions in the Higgs sector of supersymmetric grand unified theories (GUT's) can produce the breaking of the unifying gauge group $G$ at the GUT scale $M_{\rm GUT} \sim 10^{16}$~GeV.

Gut Symptoms, Gut Dysbiosis and Gut-Derived Toxins in ALS
Many pathogenetic mechanisms have been proposed for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Recently, there have been emerging suggestions of a possible role for the gut microbiota. Gut microbiota have a range of functions and could influence ALS by several mechanisms. Here, we review the possible role of gut-derived neurotoxins/excitotoxins.

SHOULD SPARTICLE MASSES UNIFY AT THE GUT SCALE? [PDF]
Gauge and Yukawa (for the third family) coupling unification seem to be the best predictions of the grand-unified theories (GUTs). In supersymmetric GUTs, one also expects that the sparticle masses unify at the GUT scale (for sparticles embedded in the same GUT multiplet).

Germline variants in CDKN2A wild‐type melanoma prone families
Among melanoma‐prone families, wild‐type for CDKN2A and CDK4, some have pathogenic variants in genes not usually linked to melanoma. Furthermore, rare XP‐related variants and variants in MC1R are enriched in such families. Germline pathogenic variants in CDKN2A are well established as an underlying cause of familial malignant melanoma. While pathogenic

Czy możliwa jest wolność bez wolnej woli? (IS FREEDOM WITHOUT FREE WILL POSSIBLE?) [PDF]
The main aim of this presents paper is to critically explore the view according to which an understanding and grasping of freedom is possible in the absence of free will.
