Gut microbes and obesity [PDF]
Metabolism A plethora of studies have uncovered correlations between gut microbiome composition and common disorders such as metabolic disease. The hope is that these correlations can be translated into therapies using mechanism-based approaches. An alternative approach is fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), a procedure in which gut microbiota from

The environment within: how gut microbiota may influence metabolism and body composition
Obesity, diabetes and consequently atherosclerotic vascular disease have become major health and public health issues worldwide. The increasing and staggering prevalence of obesity might not only be explained by nutritional habits or the reduction of ...

Links between gut microbiome composition and fatty liver disease in a large population sample [PDF]
Fatty liver disease is the most common liver disease in the world. Its connection with the gut microbiome has been known for at least 80 y, but this association remains mostly unstudied in the general population because of underdiagnosis and small sample

We demonstrated that high humidity worsened psoriasis relapse in murine psoriasiform skin inflammation by increasing skin‐resident memory CD8+ cells via upregulating IL‐15Rα on keratinocytes. The increases in IL‐15Rα and memory CD8+ cells were attributed to S. nepalensis and its metabolite ADMA in skin exposed to high humidity.
