Contribution to the knowledge of Gyrodactylus gurleyi Price, 1937 (Monogenea: Gyrodactylidae).
Gyrodactylus longoacuminatus Zitnan, 1964, forma minor sensu Ergens (1985) was identified as G. gurleyi Price, 1937. Morphological and metrical evaluations of the hard parts of opisthaptor of more than 200 specimens provided data on the variability of this parasite; Cyprinus carpio haematopterus represents its new host.

Monogeneans are ectoparasites that in high densities, can cause harm and even death to their hosts. Therefore, treatment methods are continuously evaluated. The current study aims to determine the LC50 of ionic silver and silver‐engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) (nAg) in the monogenean Macrogyrodactylus congolensis and report on the toxicological effects

Demonstrating freedom from Gyrodactylus salaris (Monogenea: Gyrodactylidae) in farmed rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss [PDF]
This paper describes an approach to demonstrate freedom of individual rainbow trout farms from Gyrodactylus salaris Malmberg, 1957. The infection status of individual farms is relevant should G. salaris be introduced into a country or zone previously known to be free of the parasite. Trade from farms where G.

To date, 41 species of Gyrodactylus have been described from Africa. However, none of these have been reported in Morocco. After identifying and examining 738 cyprinid host specimens, 26 specimens belonging to Gyrodactylus were found to parasitize the gills of nine species of Luciobarbus, Carasobarbus, and Pterocapoeta.
