Electromagnetic Gyroscopic Motion [PDF]
A problem of the gyroscopic motions around a fixed point, under the action of a gyrostatic moment vector, in presence of electromagnetic field and Newtonian one, is considered. The small parameter technique is used to investigate the periodic solutions for the derived equations of such motion problem. A geometric interpretation of motion will be given

Microresonator Brillouin Gyroscope [PDF]
Using counter-propagating Brillouin lasers in a high-Q chip-based resonator, rotation measurement with a sensitivity of 15 degree/hour/ Hz is demonstrated. This is close to navigation grade performance and surpasses prior micro-optical systems by 40X.

The Frenet Serret Description of Gyroscopic Precession [PDF]
The phenomenon of gyroscopic precession is studied within the framework of Frenet-Serret formalism adapted to quasi-Killing trajectories. Its relation to the congruence vorticity is highlighted with particular reference to the irrotational congruence ...

Eigenmode operation of piezoelectric resonant gyroscopes
The theory of eigenmode operation of Coriolis vibratory gyroscopes and its implementation on a thin-film piezoelectric gyroscope is presented. It is shown analytically that the modal alignment of resonant gyroscopes can be achieved by applying a rotation

Analysis of ring laser gyroscopes including laser dynamics [PDF]
Inertial sensors are important at application level and also in fundamental physics. Ring laser gyroscopes, which measure angular rotation rates, are among the most sensitive ones.

Compensation of Magnetic Disturbances Improves Inertial and Magnetic Sensing of Human Body Segment Orientation [PDF]
This paper describes a complementary Kalman filter design to estimate orientation of human body segments by fusing gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer signals from miniature sensors. Ferromagnetic materials or other magnetic fields near the sensor

Adeno‐associated virus serotype 2 capsid variants for improved liver‐directed gene therapy
Abstract Background and Aims Current liver‐directed gene therapies look for adeno‐associated virus (AAV) vectors with improved efficacy. With this background, capsid engineering is explored. Whereas shuffled capsid library screenings have resulted in potent liver targeting variants with one first vector in human clinical trials, modifying natural ...
