On stability of motion of unbalanced gyroscope [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2023
In this paper we consider the stability of motion of an unbalanced gyroscope with a flexible shaft in gimbal suspension.Gyroscopes are used to control the stability of boom tower cranes.

Motion Blurred Star Image Restoration Based on MEMS Gyroscope Aid and Blur Kernel Correction

open access: yesSensors, 2018
Under dynamic conditions, motion blur is introduced to star images obtained by a star sensor. Motion blur affects the accuracy of the star centroid extraction and the identification of stars, further reducing the performance of the star sensor.

The dynamical motion of a gyroscope subjected to applied moments

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
In the present work, the problem of the dynamical motion of a rigid body close to Lagrange’s gyroscope under the effectiveness of a gyro moment vector, perturbing moments, and a Newtonian field is examined.

Gyroscope vs. accelerometer measurements of motion from wrist PPG during physical exercise [PDF]

open access: yesICT Express, 2016
Many wearable devices include PPG (photoplethysmography) sensors for non-invasive heart rate monitoring. However, PPG signals are heavily corrupted by motion interference, and rely on simultaneous motion measurements to remove the interference ...

Conservative motion of a discrete, dodecahedral gyroscope

open access: yesMathematical and Computer Modelling, 2002
A discrete model of rigid body is suggested in the spirit of molecular mechanics as a dodecahedral body with mass particles on vertices. Based on this new approach, the motion of rigid body can be described by Newtonian mechanics without application of Eulerian angles, dyadics or other attitude parameters.

Signal Quality Improvement Algorithms for MEMS Gyroscope-Based Human Motion Analysis Systems: A Systematic Review

open access: yesSensors, 2018
Motion sensors such as MEMS gyroscopes and accelerometers are characterized by a small size, light weight, high sensitivity, and low cost. They are used in an increasing number of applications. However, they are easily influenced by environmental effects

Robust Single Image Deblurring Using Gyroscope Sensor

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Motion blur in an image is caused by the movement of the camera during exposure time; thus, awareness of the camera motion is a key factor in image deblurring algorithms.

Electromagnetic Gyroscopic Motion [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
A problem of the gyroscopic motions around a fixed point, under the action of a gyrostatic moment vector, in presence of electromagnetic field and Newtonian one, is considered. The small parameter technique is used to investigate the periodic solutions for the derived equations of such motion problem. A geometric interpretation of motion will be given

Damping analysis of micro-gyroscope with ball-disk rotor

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
According to the structure of the micro-gyroscope with a ball-disk rotor, the corresponding Reynolds equation is solved by using the motion equation, continuity equation, and state equation.
