Optimisation of construction parameters of gyroscope system on elastic suspension
In the paper are derived the equations of motion of a gyroscope on elastic suspension, mounted on a movable base. An algorithm for the selection of the optimum construction parameters and the matrices of amplifications of the gyroscope regulator is ...

Equations of Disturbed Motion of the Moving Part of the Gyroscope Suspension
The response of the float two-stage angular velocity sensor to the simultaneous perturbation from the rocket body—kinematic perturbation—and the penetrating acoustic radiation from the propulsion engines of the launch vehicle were determined.

Error analysis and compensation methods of geomagnetic attitude detection accuracy affected by projectile swing [PDF]
This paper addresses the issue of significant measurement errors in geomagnetic/GPS combined attitude detection systems due to projectile swing. By analyzing the errors caused by projectile swing, a new attitude detection method based on the combination ...

Gyroscope-Aided Motion Deblurring with Deep Networks [PDF]
We propose a deblurring method that incorporates gyroscope measurements into a convolutional neural network (CNN). With the help of such measurements, it can handle extremely strong and spatially-variant motion blur. At the same time, the image data is used to overcome the limitations of gyro-based blur estimation.

'It Has to Go Down A Little, In Order to Go Around'- Following Feynman on the Gyroscope
In this paper we show that with the help of accessible, teaching quality equipment, some interesting details of the motion of a gyroscope, typically overlooked in introductory courses, can be measured and compared to theory. We begin by deriving a simple

Compensation of Magnetic Disturbances Improves Inertial and Magnetic Sensing of Human Body Segment Orientation [PDF]
This paper describes a complementary Kalman filter design to estimate orientation of human body segments by fusing gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer signals from miniature sensors. Ferromagnetic materials or other magnetic fields near the sensor

Horndeski theories confront the Gravity Probe B experiment
In this work we have investigated various properties of a spinning gyroscope in the context of Horndeski theories. In particular, we have focused on two specific situations --- (a) when the gyroscope follows a geodesic trajectory and (b) when it is ...
