Conodont faunas across the Kasimovian–Gzhelian boundary (Late Pennsylvanian) in South China and implications for the selection of the stratotype for the base of the global Gzhelian Stage

open access: yesPapers in Palaeontology, 2020
AbstractThe upper Pennsylvanian Naqing and Narao carbonate successions were deposited in intra‐platform slope‐to‐basinal settings across the Kasimovian–Gzhelian boundary in Guizhou, South China. Conodont faunas consist of a mixture of the endemic taxa of theIdiognathodus luodianensisgroup and cosmopolitan species of theI. simulatorgroup.

Gzhelian fusulinids first discovered in central Iran

Stratigraphy and Geological Correlation, 2006
Gzhelian deposits established in Iran for the first time are described. They rest with a considerable hiatus on the Moscovian deposits constituting, along with Asselian strata, an integral carbonate succession of the Zaladu Formation in eastern Iran. The Zaladu Formation is correlative with the Vazhnan Formation of the Abadeh region (central Iran) and ...

Paleontological Journal, 2009
This paper completes the revision of the Middle and Late Carboniferous brachiopods of the family Linoproductidae from the Moscow Region. The species cannot be completely described according to the methods previously elaborated by the author because of the poor state of preservation of the material from Gzhelian deposits.
