Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Optimality of embeddings of Bessel-potential-type spaces into generalized Hölder spaces [PDF]
We establish the sharpness of embedding theorems for Bessel-potential spaces modelled upon Lorentz-Karamata spaces and we prove the non compactness of such embeddings. Target spaces in our embeddings are generalized Hölder spaces.

On Variable Exponent Amalgam Spaces
We derive some of the basic properties of weighted variable exponent Lebesgue spaces Lp(.)w (ℝn) and investigate embeddings of these spaces under some conditions.

In this paper, we first present an overview of the results related to energy conservation in spaces of Hölder-continuous functions for weak solutions to the Euler and Navier–Stokes equations.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

On generalized Hölder spaces [PDF]
The Hölder spaces provide a natural way for measuring the smoothness of a function. These spaces appear in different areas such as approximation theory and multifractal analysis and lead to natural definitions of the notion of fractal function; for ...

Strengthened cauchy-schwarz and hölder inequalities [PDF]
We present some identities related to the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality in complex inner product spaces. A new proof of the basic result on the subject of strengthened Cauchy-Schwarz inequalities is derived using these identities.

ε-Coverings of Hölder-Zygmund Type Spaces on Data-Defined Manifolds
We first determine the asymptotes of the ε-covering numbers of Hölder-Zygmund type spaces on data-defined manifolds. Secondly, a fully discrete and finite algorithmic scheme is developed providing explicit ε-coverings whose cardinality is asymptotically ...

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Hölder Exponents and Fractal Analysis on Metric Spaces using Morphological Operators [PDF]
In this work, we are interested in the study of the local and global regularity of a class of functions which are relevant in fractal analysis, the so-called Hölder continuous functions.
