Dead time compensation in H-bridge inverters

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Electronics and Drives, 2018
This paper presents the procedure to apply compensation for the distortion created by the dead time/blanking time in H-bridge inverters, as those used in grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) inverters. It also deals with the selection of an appropriate value of dead time, by measuring the turn-on and turn-off times of the switching devices.

Flying-capacitor multilevel converter voltage balance dynamics for pure resistive load [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Multilevel converters need voltage balancing to be able to generate an output voltage with high quality. Flying capacitor converter topology has a natural voltage balancing property.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Fundamental Frequency Switching Strategies of a Seven-Level Hybrid Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper presents a cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter that can be implemented using only a single dc power source and capacitors. Standard cascaded multilevel inverters require n dc sources for 2n + 1 levels.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
