Hydroxyethyl Cellulose as Water‐Soluble Co‐Binder for High Mass Loading LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 Lithium‐Ion Battery Cathodes

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
2‐Hydroxyethyl cellulose is introduced as water‐soluble co‐binder to achieve high electrode mass loadings for fluorine‐free LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 cathodes. In combination with guar gum, the electrochemical and mechanical properties are simultaneously optimized, enabling graphite∥LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 cells with an areal capacity of 2.2 mAh cm‐2 and a capacity ...

The role of dopants in mitigating the chemo‐mechanical degradation of Ni‐rich cathode: A critical review

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Factors that contribute to chemo‐mechanical degradation in Ni‐rich cathode have been identified as phase transformation, cation mixing, transition metal dissolution, surface reconstruction, crack formation, and oxygen evolution. These degradation factors could be mitigated via elemental substitution.

CIBERESPAÇO: ENTRE ESPAÇO, REDES E PERFORMANCES SOCIOESPACIAIS

open access: yesRevista Desenvolvimento Social, 2020
O ciberespaço se constitui como um espaço reticulado, cuja funcionalidade e (i)materialidade o posicionam para além da técnica e da infraestrutura informacional, mas o tornam um esteio propício para performances socioespaciais.

Phosphine‐Ligated Cobalt(II) Acetylacetonate Complexes

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Accepted Article.
Cobalt(II) acetylacetonate complexes bearing a phosphine ligand can be key intermediates or precursors to cobalt‐based catalysts; however, they have been rarely studied, especially from the molecular structure point of view. This work is focused on the understanding of how different phosphines react with Co(acac)2 (acac = acetylacetonate).

Loving Taxation, Hating Single Taxes: Disentangling Temporal Distance and Abstraction in the Communication of Tax Proposals

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Social Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Progressive taxation is an effective way of redistributing wealth and reducing economic inequality, as such its promotion through efficient communication strategies is a key goal. Drawing on construal level theory, we test in five studies whether attitudes towards progressive taxation are improved by high (vs.

Towards Nickel‐Catalysed Olefin Metathesis: A Computational Study of Nickelacyclobutane Fragmentation Reactions

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, EarlyView.
Abstract A detailed picture of the reactivity of metallacyclobutanes is key to the understanding and development of new reactions relying on these reactive intermediates, including olefin metathesis and cyclopropanation. More than 40 years ago, Miyashita and Grubbs reported experimental studies on the thermal decomposition pathways of a phosphine ...

How does board gender diversity drive the ESG performance‐cash holdings relationship? Evidence from China

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance &Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract This study investigates the influence of board gender diversity on the relationship between environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance and corporate cash holdings in Chinese A‐share listed companies from 2015 to 2022. Our research shows that ESG performance is positively associated with cash holdings.
