H1/H1 genotype influences symptom severity in corticobasal syndrome

Movement Disorders, 2010
AbstractWe evaluated 38 consecutive patients with corticobasal syndrome to determine if inheritance of the H1/H1 genotype influences age at onset and disease severity and if Apolipoprotein E e4 increases the risk of cognitive disturbances. Inheritance of the H1/H1 genotype was associated with severity of motor function, but did not affect age at onset ...

Histone H1

The International Journal of Biochemistry & Cell Biology, 1997
Linker histones of which histone H1 is a representative are a diverse family of architectural proteins within the eukaryotic nucleus. These proteins have a variety of structures, but invariably contain a region enriched in lysine, serine, alanine and proline.

H1–H1 Cross-Linking Efficiency Depends on Genomic DNA Methylation

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1996
Oligonucleosomal DNA preparations from condensed-inactive chromatin were examined, before and after artificial methylation by bacterial SssI methylase, for their ability to allow cooperative H1-H1 interactions under conditions of different ionic strength.

[H1-antihistamines].

Lin chuang er bi yan hou tou jing wai ke za zhi = Journal of clinical otorhinolaryngology head and neck surgery, 2013
While histamine plays an important role in the pathogenesis of allergic diseases, such as allergic rhinitis, H1-antihistamines, which have been using in the treatment of allergic diseases for more than 70 years, are considered as the cornerstone of the medication of allergic diseases. In this review, we discuss the history of histamine studies and anti-

Developments in antihistamines (H1)

1992
Histamine (4(5)-imidazolylethylamine) is widely distributed in nature both in the plant and the animal kingdom. It was first chemically synthesized by Windaus and Vogt [1] in 1907 because of its structural similarity with the naturally occurring alkaloid pilocarpine and the amino acid histidine.

Phosphorylation of H1 histones

Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, 1983
The phosphorylation of H1 histones is reviewed. Consideration is given to phosphorylation reactions which occur in both replicating and nonreplicating cells. The available evidence suggests that H1 histones accept phosphate groups at different sites in response to different stimuli.

The H1 silicon tracker

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2004
The H1 experiment at HERA is equipped with a silicon vertex detector, comprising a barrel part and two endcaps with disks. The barrel part uses double-sided, DC-coupled strip sensors, whereas the endcap parts use two types of wedge-shaped sensors, both single-sided and AC-coupled: u/v sensors have strips parallel to one edge of the sensor, r sensors ...
