Programmable DNA‐Peptide Hybrid Nanostructures for Potent Neutralization of Multiple Influenza a Virus Subtypes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multivalent antiviral platform based on honeycomb‐shaped DNA nanostructures (HC–Urumin) is developed to enhance the potency and breadth of the host defense peptide Urumin. Through spatially patterned trimeric presentation, HC–Urumin disrupts influenza A virus entry, improves cell viability, and reduces disease severity in vivo‐offering a modular and ...

The nature of market-preserving government

open access: yesJournal of Government and Economics
This paper offers a framework for understanding the origin of market-preserving government. The paper shows that when parties in a Hobbesian society end in an arms race rather than war, they can create a market-preserving government to maintain the no ...

HERA Diffractive Structure Function Data and Parton Distributions

open access: yes, 2005
Recent diffractive structure function measurements by the H1 and ZEUS experiments at HERA are reviewed. Various data sets, obtained using systematically different selection and reconstruction methods, are compared. NLO DGLAP QCD fits are performed to the

Pore Size Effects of Mesoporous N‐Doped Carbon Nanospheres as Advanced Support Material on the Activity of Molybdenum Sulfide Catalysts for the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By tuning the pore size of mesoporous N‐doped carbon (MPNC) nanospheres as support material for molybdenum sulfide, the electrochemical activity of the composite material for the hydrogen evolution reaction can be optimized. An ideal MPNC pore size of 60 nm allows a high number of molybdenum sulfide active sites while maintaining efficient proton and ...

A shift in erythrocyte histone H1 complement following selection in quail (Coturnix japonica)

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2015
This work was aimed at comparing distribution of isoforms for polymorphic histone H1 variants H1.b and H1.z and variably abundant histone H1.d subtype between quail (Coturnix japonica) population selected for a high egg yolk cholesterol content and the ...

CTCF and EGR1 suppress breast cancer cell migration through transcriptional control of Nm23-H1

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Tumor metastasis remains an obstacle in cancer treatment and is responsible for most cancer-related deaths. Nm23-H1 is one of the first metastasis suppressor proteins discovered with the ability to inhibit metastasis of many cancers including breast ...

Determination of the longitudinal structure function $F_{L}$ at HERA [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Recent results from the HERA experiment H1 on the longitudinal stucture function $F_{L}$ of the proton are presented. They include proton structure function analyses with particular emphasis on those kinematic regions which are sensitive to $F_{L}$.

MPI‐Guided Photothermal Therapy of Prostate Cancer Using Stem Cell Delivery of Magnetotheranostic Nanoflowers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Tumor‐tropic human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) were used as delivery vehicles for magnetotheranostic gold–iron oxide nanoflowers. Magnetic particle imaging of the iron component demonstrated widespread intratumoral distribution and sustained retention in contrast to injection of naked nanoflowers.
