R&D tax credits, innovative activity and the targeting approach

open access: yesEconomics and Business Review
The aim of this study is to investigate whether the French R&D tax credit targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has a positive impact on innovative activity. The French institutional setting provides a unique research framework as the R&D

Higher Genetic Diversity Across Several Small Patches Compared to a Single Large Patch: A Within‐Species Test of SLOSS

open access: yesEvolutionary Applications, Volume 19, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT The SLOSS (Single Large or Several Small) debate is crucial in reserve design, focusing on evaluating the conservation efficacy of a single large reserve versus multiple small reserves for species preservation. While accumulating evidence suggests that multiple small reserves may conserve greater species diversity, the question of how to ...

Development of Electrohydraulic Forming Process for Aluminum Sheet with Sharp Edge

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2017
Electrohydraulic forming (EHF), high-velocity forming technology, can improve the formability of a workpiece. Accordingly, this process can help engineers create products with sharper edges, allowing a product’s radius of curvature to be less than 2 mm ...

Diabetes self‐management education and its association with hospital admissions and premature mortality: A scoping review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 2, Page 850-864, February 2026.
Abstract Type 2 diabetes is associated with increased all‐cause hospital admissions and premature mortality. Diabetes self‐management education (DSME) is internationally recommended but its impact on reducing hospital admissions and premature mortality is unclear.

Impact of tool rotational speed on friction stir welded joints of AA2014-T6/AA5052-H32: synthesis, microstructural, mechanical and fractographic behaviour

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity
This study examines the changes in microstructure and mechanical properties of friction stir-welded (FSW) dissimilar joints between AA2014-T6 and AA5052-H32 aluminium alloys, with an emphasis on optimizing tool rotation speed for enhanced joint quality.

Structural and functional characterization of the newly identified Photorhabdus laumondii tumor necrosis factor‐like lectin

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 293, Issue 4, Page 1168-1190, February 2026.
We characterize the PLTL lectin from Photorhabdus laumondii, which adopts a unique TNF‐like fold. Binding assays reveal a preference for branched histo‐blood group oligosaccharides. Protein crystallography uncovers a novel hexameric assembly and identifies key residues involved in carbohydrate recognition.

Determining the formability of AA5052 sheets in annealed and H32 condition

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2019
Abstract Forming Limit Diagram (FLD) is an easy and efficient way of determining the safe region for formability in sheet metals. In this work formability of AA5052 H32 sheets of thickness 1 mm is studied by developing a FLD. Since traditional generation of FLDs requires sophisticated equipment, an attempt has been made to generate FLDs ...

Combining ability and heterosis in partial resistance to gray leaf spot in elite maize (Zea mays L.) genotypes

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 66, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
Abstract Six sets of 48 maize (Zea mays L.) inbred lines, and their 96 single crosses generated using the North Carolina Mating Design II system, were evaluated for resistance to gray leaf spot (GLS). The aim of the study was to assess the implications of combining ability, heterotic effects, and potence ratio in breeding for GLS resistance in maize ...
