Constitutive modeling of hot deformation behavior of H62 brass

Materials Science & Engineering A: Structural Materials: Properties, Microstructure and Processing, 2011
Abstract The hot deformation behaviors of H62 brass are investigated by isothermal compression tests on a Gleeble 1500 thermal-mechanics simulator in the temperature range of 650–800 °C and the strain rate range of 0.01–10 s −1 . Most of the stress–strain curves exhibit a single peak stress, indicating a typical dynamic recrystallization (DRX ...

Corrosion behavior of copper T2 and brass H62 in simulated Nansha marine atmosphere

Journal of Materials Science and Technology, 2019
Abstract The accelerated corrosion behavior of copper T2 and brass H62 exposed in simulated Nansha marine atmosphere for different periods were investigated by weight loss method, SEM, XRD and potentiodynamic polarization measurements. The results indicate that copper T2 and brass H62 underwent severe corrosion, and the final corrosion rates at 32 ...

Fabrication of superhydrophobic surface with enhanced corrosion resistance on H62 brass substrate

Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2020
Abstract Corrosion protection of metals plays an important role in developing economy. Inspired by the lotus leaf in nature, superhydrophobic surfaces with excellent water-repellent properties has great potential to solve corrosion problem. Herein, superhydrophobic surfaces with improved anticorrosion performance were achieved on H62 brass.

Equivalent strain, microstructure and hardness of H62 brass deformed by constrained groove pressing

Computational Materials Science, 2011
Constrained groove pressing (CGP) has been developed to refine grain sizes, and in most cases is conducted under partially constrained conditions. Here we report the first investigation of the Von Mises equivalent strain and its distribution in samples subject to CGP under partially constrained conditions.

Metabolism of glycolic acid by Azotobacter chroococcum PRL H62

Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1973
When Azotobacter chroococcum grows on glycolic acid as sole C source, it cannot utilize N2 and must be provided with reduced nitrogen. Glycolic acid is metabolized via Kornberg's dicarboxylic acid cycle. The TCA cycle enzymes are low in activity, and isocitric dehydrogenase is absent.

Brass H62 Hot Extrusion of Micro Gear

Materials Science Forum, 2011
Gears are very important and widely used driving components in mechanical instruments, and the demands of micro-gears are increasing more and more active as the MEMS technology develops in recent years. In this paper, a brass micro gear, which modulus m = 0.125 mm, pressure angle α = 20°, number of teeth z = 6, addendum circle diameter d = 1 mm, hot ...

Experiment Research on Grinding Temperature of Micro-Grinding H62

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
The thermocouple temperature measurement method was adopted to measure the surface temperature in micro-grinding experiment. According to the different grinding depth, the appropriate processing parameters were chosen to find out the temperature field distribution on the surface and in different depth of subsurface.

Constitutive Modeling for Superplastic Flow Behavior of H62 Alloy

Advanced Materials Research, 2014
In order to precisely describe superplastic flow behavior of H62 alloy, a empirical constitutive equation was established based on the experimental data, which were obtained from the constant strain rate tensions (2.0×10-4~4.0×10-2s-1) at 720 °C. Through verification of the constitutive equation with the experimental data in constant strain rate ...
