Discovery of a Novel Non‐Nucleoside Inhibitor of RNA‐Dependent RNA Polymerase Against Dengue Virus

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 12, December 2025.
PN‐1, a novel non‐nucleoside inhibitor of the dengue virus RNA‐dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp), was identified from Panax notoginseng. This compound selectively targets the DENV‐2 NS5 RdRp, inducing conformational changes that inhibit enzymatic activity, thereby suppressing DENV replication both in vitro and in vivo.

Inheritance and enzymatic basis of anthocyanin malonylation in Fragaria × ananassa

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 124, Issue 2, October 2025.
Significance Statement Fruits from various cultivars of the cultivated strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) exhibit significant variation in the levels of malonylated anthocyanins, which is attributed to the differential expression of malonyltransferase genes, whose products demonstrate acceptor substrate promiscuity.

Identification of the sirohaem biosynthesis pathway in Staphylococcus aureus

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, 2020
Sirohaem is a modified tetrapyrrole and a key prosthetic group of several enzymes involved in nitrogen and sulfur metabolisms. This work shows that Staphylococcus aureus produces sirohaem through a pathway formed by three independent enzymes.

Complex population genetic structure of the bark beetle predator Thanasimus formicarius (L.) (Coleoptera: Cleridae) across its European range

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, Volume 27, Issue 3, Page 437-451, August 2025.
Abstract Thanasimus formicarius (L.) (Coleoptera: Cleridae) is an important bark beetle predator and can reduce bark beetle population densities of some of the most severe forest pests in Europe. We analysed the population genetics and phylogeography of T.

SUSY Higgs bosons and beyond [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We consider extensions of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) where the extra degrees of freedom interact weakly with the Higgs sector. These models allow to relax the tension between the lower bound on the lightest CP even Higgs mass from ...

Simple Non Linear Klein-Gordon Equations in 2 space dimensions, with long range scattering

open access: yes, 2007
We establish that solutions, to the most simple NLKG equations in 2 space dimensions with mass resonance, exhibits long range scattering phenomena. Modified wave operators and solutions are constructed for these equations.

Tradable Refugee-admission Quotas (TRAQs), the Syrian Crisis and the new European Agenda on Migration

open access: yesSocial Science Research Network, 2015
The Syrian Civil War gave rise to the largest refugee flight reaching Europe since the Yugoslavian wars in the 1990s. The crisis evidenced the deficiencies of the European Union Asylum Policy, which struggled both to offer solutions to Syrian refugees ...

Modelling and analysis of transformers considering ultra‐wide band frequency‐dependent parameters for high altitude electromagnetic pulse

open access: yesHigh Voltage, Volume 10, Issue 2, Page 374-384, April 2025.
Abstract Transformers are widely distributed and extremely important energy conversion equipment in the power system. However, the high altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) can induce a steep pulse voltage with a peak value of up to thousands of kilovolts on the overhead line, and the frequency is up to 100 MHz, which is easy to damage the transformer

Higher Genetic Diversity Across Several Small Patches Compared to a Single Large Patch: A Within‐Species Test of SLOSS [PDF]

open access: yesEvol Appl
ABSTRACT The SLOSS (Single Large or Several Small) debate is crucial in reserve design, focusing on evaluating the conservation efficacy of a single large reserve versus multiple small reserves for species preservation. While accumulating evidence suggests that multiple small reserves may conserve greater species diversity, the question of how to ...

Convex Hull of Arithmetic Automata

open access: yes, 2008
Arithmetic automata recognize infinite words of digits denoting decompositions of real and integer vectors. These automata are known expressive and efficient enough to represent the whole set of solutions of complex linear constraints combining both ...
