Fire‐induced shifts in activity patterns of predators and prey in the Brazilian Pantanal

Using camera trap data, we observed that 5 of 6 prey species showed statistically significant changes in temporal activity patterns, while jaguars were the only predator species to adjust activity when comparing pre‐fire and post‐fire periods in an isolated rocky formation in the Pantanal region.

Heterogeneous time preferences and interest rates—the preferred habitat theory revisited [PDF]

The influence of heterogeneous time preferences on the term structure is studied in the framework of a continuous-time pure exchange economy, in which agents have, apart from differential time preferences, the same degree of relative risk aversion. A closed-form solution for the financial equilibrium is obtained.
