Walsh functions and Hadamard matrixes
An orthogonal matrix can be used as a generator of a minimum-distance code. In addition to the recursively constructed Hadamard matrixes there are others of order 4n. Their use in coding appears to be limited.

Stagewise crop yield prediction with multisource functional indices
Abstract Index insurance design involves integrating weather data, soil moisture, phenology information, and satellite imagery, which presents challenges in data fusion. This article addresses the modelling of multisource functional indices of varying lengths by constructing a stagewise ensemble of sequential models.

An update on a few permanent conjectures
We review and update on a few conjectures concerning matrix permanent that are easily stated, understood, and accessible to general math audience. They are: Soules permanent-on-top conjecture†, Lieb permanent dominance conjecture, Bapat and Sunder ...

A goodness‐of‐fit test for regression models with discrete outcomes
Abstract Regression models are often used to analyze discrete outcomes, but classical goodness‐of‐fit tests such as those based on the deviance or Pearson's statistic can be misleading or have little power in this context. To address this issue, we propose a new test, inspired by the work of Czado et al.

Constructing Mutually Unbiased Bases in Dimension Six
The density matrix of a qudit may be reconstructed with optimal efficiency if the expectation values of a specific set of observables are known. In dimension six, the required observables only exist if it is possible to identify six mutually unbiased ...

Majorizations of hadamard products of matrix powers
For any positive definite \(n \times n\) matrix \(A\), the eigenvalues of \(A\) will be denoted \(\lambda _{1}(A) \geq \lambda _{2}(A) \geq \ldots \geq \lambda _{n}(A)\). The author proves a series of inequalities relating the eigenvalues of the Hadamard product \(A \circ B\) of two \(n \times n\) positive definite matrices \(A\) and \(B\) and the ...

Quenching the Hubbard Model: Comparison of Nonequilibrium Green's Function Methods
ABSTRACT We benchmark nonequilibrium Green's function (NEGF) approaches for interaction quenches in the half‐filled Fermi–Hubbard model in one and two dimensions. We compare fully self‐consistent two‐time Kadanoff–Baym equations (KBE), the generalized Kadanoff–Baym ansatz (GKBA), and the recently developed NEGF‐based quantum fluctuations approach (NEGF‐

Construction of Sylvester-Hadamard Matrices by Using Binary Code [PDF]
A simple method is presented which defines Sylvester-Hadamard matrices in terms of products of binary code. This method is based representation of natural number as binary code which take only two value 0 or 1.

Enhancing Volatility Prediction: A Wavelet‐Based Hierarchical Forecast Reconciliation Approach
ABSTRACT Forecasting realized volatility (RV) has been widely studied, with numerous techniques developed to enhance predictive accuracy. Among these techniques, the use of RV decompositions based on intraday asset returns has been applied. However, the use of a frequency‐based decomposition, which provides unique insights into the dynamics of RV ...

3D Surface Profiling via Direct End‐to‐End Regression With a Photonic Geometric Sensor
Measurements of microscale surface patterns are essential for quality control across semiconductor and biomedical industries, yet the development of miniaturized, intelligent systems remains constrained by the complexity and bulkiness of conventional benchtop metrology.
