Polarization Effects In Hadron-Hadron Scatterings

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal, 2018
In the case of diffraction scattering of hadrons by hadrons, a nonzero polarization of the scattered particles arises, which is related to the logarithmic derivative of the differential scattering cross section. Polarization changes sign in those reactions whose angular distributions contain the second diffraction maximum.

Measurements of Zγ+jets differential cross sections in pp collisions at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Differential cross-section measurements of Zγ production in association with hadronic jets are presented, using the full 139 fb −1 dataset of s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV proton–proton collisions collected by the ATLAS detector during Run 2 of the LHC ...

Search for a new scalar resonance in flavour-changing neutral-current top-quark decays t → qX (q = u, c), with X → b b ¯ $$ b\overline{b} $$ , in proton-proton collisions at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
A search for flavour-changing neutral-current decays of a top quark into an up-type quark (either up or charm) and a light scalar particle X decaying into a bottom anti-bottom quark pair is presented. The search focuses on top-quark pair production where

On the re-summation of enhanced Pomeron diagrams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Dominant contributions of enhanced Pomeron diagrams to elastic hadron-hadron scattering amplitude are re-summed to all orders. The formalism is applied to calculate total hadronic cross sections and elastic scattering slopes.

Coulomb-hadron phase factor and spin phenomena in a wide region of transfer momenta [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The Coulomb-hadron interference effects are examined at small and large $t$. The methods for the definition of spin-dependent parts of hadron scattering amplitude are presented.

Like-Sign W Boson Production at the LHC as a Probe of Double Parton Scattering [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Double parton scattering, i.e. two parton hard scattering processes in the same hadron-hadron collision, may constitute an important background for Higgs and other new particle searches at the LHC. We point out that like-sign W pair production provides a

Inclusive-photon production and its dependence on photon isolation in pp collisions at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV using 139 fb −1 of ATLAS data

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Measurements of differential cross sections are presented for inclusive isolated-photon production in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV provided by the LHC and using 139 fb −1 of data recorded by the ATLAS experiment.

Electromagnetic corrections to hadron-hadron scattering

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1974
Abstract We use S -matrix methods to determine the electromagnetic corrections to relativistic hadron scattering. The infrared divergences associated with soft photon emission and with the Coulomb interaction are removed to give a finite scattering amplitude which obeys crossing and has the usual analytic structure. An approximate calculation of the

Scattering properties of anti-parity-time symmetric non-Hermitian system [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. A 98, 022117 (2018), 2018
We investigate the scattering properties of an anti-parity-symmetric non-Hermitian system. The anti-parity-symmetric scattering center possesses imaginary nearest-neighbor hoppings and real onsite potentials, it has been experimentally realized through dissipative coupling and frequency detuning between atomic spin waves.
