High-Energy Hadron-Hadron (Dipole-Dipole) Scattering on the Lattice [PDF]

open access: yesProgress of Theoretical Physics Supplement, 2011
Invited talk given (by E. Meggiolaro) at the Symposium of the YIPQS International Workshop "High Energy Strong Interactions 2010 - Parton Distributions and Dense QCD Matter" (HESI 2010), Kyoto (Japan), 10-13 August 2010; 13 pages, 6 figures, 2 ...

GLUON BREMSTRAHLUNG EFFECTS IN LARGE p HADRON-HADRON SCATTERING [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 1982
We consider effects of parton (primarily gluon) bremstrahlung in the initial and final states of high transverse momentum hadron‐hadron scattering. Monte Carlo calculations based on conventional QCD parton branching and scattering processes are presented. The calculations are carried only to the parton level in the final state.

Out-of-field neutron radiation from clinical proton, helium, carbon, and oxygen ion beams. [PDF]

open access: yesMed Phys
Abstract Background In hadron therapy, out‐of‐field doses, which may in the long‐term cause secondary cancers, are mostly due to neutrons. Very recently, 4He and 16O beams have been added to protons and 12C ions for clinical therapy. Purpose The focus of this article is to compare secondary neutron doses produced by clinical protons, 4He, 12C, and 16O ...

Isospin quantum distances in hadron-hadron scattering

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1996
Abstract In this paper, the quantum distances between two isospin channels, in the Hilbert space of the hadron-hadron scattering amplitudes, are introduced. These isospin quantum distances, as well as their isospin bounds, are expressed in terms of the channel cross sections and polarisation parameters.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Swampland: The Cosmologist's Handbook to the String‐Theoretical Swampland Programme

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.

A Parton-Hadron Cascade Approach in High-energy Nuclear Collisions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
A parton-hadron cascade model which is the extension of hadronic cascade model incorporating hard partonic scattering based on HIJING is presented to describe the space-time evolution of parton/hadron system produced by ultra-relativistic nuclear ...

Model calculations for cosmogenic nuclides in meteorites and the lunar surface. 1. Long‐lived radionuclides

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 61, Issue 4, Page 600-620, April 2026.
Abstract Production rates for the cosmogenic radionuclides 10Be, 14C, 26Al, 36Cl, 41Ca, 53Mn, and 60Fe in a large variety of meteorites, that is, ordinary chondrites (H, L, LL), carbonaceous chondrites, HED meteorites, ureilites, Martian meteorites, and iron meteorites and in the uppermost ~2 m of the lunar surface are modeled.

QCD resummation for semi-inclusive hadron production processes

open access: yes, 2012
We investigate the resummation of large logarithmic perturbative corrections to hadron production in electron-positron annihilation and semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering.

Search for new phenomena with top-quark pairs and large missing transverse momentum using 140 fb −1 of pp collision data at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
A search is conducted for new phenomena in events with a top quark pair and large missing transverse momentum, where the top quark pair is reconstructed in final states with one isolated electron or muon and multiple jets.

Unique Performance Considerations for Printable Organic Semiconductor and Perovskite Radiation Detectors: Toward Consensus on Best Practice Evaluation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 21, 12 March 2026.
A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...
