Galactic Cosmic Ray Ionization on Uranus; Geomagnetic Latitude Dependencies

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs) are a major source of atmospheric ionization, influencing ion abundance, aerosol formation, and electrical processes. GCR‐induced effects are expected to be more pronounced on Uranus than planets closer to the Sun for two reasons; reduced solar irradiance, and weaker solar modulation of incident GCR.

Quantum GraviElectro Dynamics

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 1, January 2026.
The BRST invariant Lagrangian of the gravitationally interacting U(1)$U(1)$ gauge theory, namely the Quantum GraviElectro Dynamics (QGED). The Yan–Mills theory with the Hilbert–Einstein gravitational Lagrangian, namely the Yang–Mills–Utiyama (YMU) theory, is defined and quantised using the standard procedure. The theory is perturbatively renormalisable,

Saturation of optimality limits in hadron-hadron scatterings

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper the optimal unitarity lower bound on logarithmic slope of the diffraction peak is investigated. It is shown that the unitarity lower bound is just the optimal logarithmic slopes predicted by the principle of least distance in space of states.

Spin and Polarization in High-Energy Hadron-Hadron and Lepton-Hadron Scattering [PDF]

open access: yesSymmetry, 2020
The role of spin degrees of freedom in high-energy hadron-hadron and lepton-hadron scattering is reviewed with emphasis on the dominant role of soft, diffractive, non-perturbative effects. Explicit models based on analyticity and Regge-pole theory, including the pomeron trajectory (gluon exchange in the t channel) are discussed.

An Overview of Scale Invariance in Proton Structure With Holographic Insights

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The concept of self‐similarity in the internal structure of the proton, rooted in scale invariance and fractal geometry, provides an intriguing framework for understanding the behavior of parton distribution functions (PDFs), particularly in the small x region probed in deep inelastic scattering (DIS).

Extraction of Effective Parameters From Transverse Momentum Spectra of Heavy Quarkonia in Proton–Proton Collisions at the LHC

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The effective string tension (κ) in the Schwinger mechanism and the effective temperature (T) in Bose–Einstein statistics are extracted from the transverse momentum (pT) spectra of heavy quarkonia produced in proton‐proton (p + p) collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

In‐House Production of POFs Using Electrospinning, Melt‐Electrospinning and Melt‐Spinning for Cell‐Level Resolution Radiation Detectors

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 142, Issue 48, December 20, 2025.
Optical transmission along a melt‐spun polystyrene microfiber with a diemeter of 80 um. ABSTRACT Since their discovery in 1965, scintillating plastic optical fibers have been used as radiation detectors in nuclear and high‐energy physics research.

Spin effects in high energy hadron-hadron scattering

open access: yesZeitschrift fr Physik C Particles and Fields, 1991
The spin-flip amplitudes of the meson-nucleon and nucleon-nucleon scattering are calculated in the framework of the dynamic model taking into account the interactions at large distances. The consideration of the strong form factors at the corresponding vertex and prea-symptotic contributions allowed us to describe correctly the differential cross ...
