The Palatal Structure of some Canadian Hadrosauridae (Reptilia: Ornithischia): Reply
Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences, 1973Two distinct hadrosaurian lineages can be delineated, each showing changes from possible hypsilophodont ancestors. The Hadrosaurinae are typified by moderately vaulted palates, broad pterygoid flanges, large anterior maxillary processes, and non-folded premaxillae, with direct narial passages.

Duck-bill dinosaurs (Hadrosauridae, Ornithischia) from the North Slope of Alaska
Journal of Paleontology, 1987Hadrosaur Bones have been found on the Colville River north of Umiat on the North Slope of Alaska. This find represents the first report of dinosaur bones in Alaska and their northernmost reported occurrence. The remains are not determinable below family level but are important, nonetheless, for interpretations of the paleoclimatology and ...

The hadrosaurid Nipponosaurus sachalinensis Nagao, 1936, was the first dinosaur discovered in Japan. Here we establish its ontogenetic stage, diagnostic characters, and systematic position by redescribing and phylogenetically analyzing the type and sole specimen of Nipponosaurus.

While the Late Cretaceous dinosaur faunas of southern and northern Alberta, Canada, are well studied, comparable faunas of central Alberta are more poorly known. Herein is described a new occurrence of the lambeosaurine hadrosaurid Hypacrosaurus altispinus from the Horseshoe Canyon Formation in Leduc, Alberta.

ABSTRACT The facial and neurocranial anatomy of AMNH 5350, containing the most complete braincase available for Gryposaurus, is described in detail. The specimen, collected from Late Campanian outcrops of the Dinosaur Park Formation of southern Canada, is referred to G.

Ontogenetic growth in the forelimb and hindlimb of the dinosaur Maiasaura peeblesorum (Ornithischia: Hadrosauridae) from the Upper Cretaceous (Campanian-Maastrichtian) Two Medicine Formation of Montana is investigated by multivariate and bivariate morphometrics and the biomechanics of beam theory.
