A relapse of acute group B streptococcus meningitis in a healthy adult: Case report and review of the literatures

Abstract Streptococcus agalactiae (GBS) is a rare cause of meningitis in healthy adults. We report the case of a healthy 33‐year‐old man with acute GBS meningitis who experienced relapsed high‐grade fever and increased intracranial pressure following completing intravenous antibiotics.

The future of IgAN treatment likely involves combining several therapies to target multiple disease mechanisms simultaneously. Clinical trials are ongoing to evaluate the efficacy and safety of various combinations. As our understanding of IgAN pathogenesis evolves, more targeted and personalized treatment strategies are expected to emerge.

Beyond the Usual Suspects: Neonatal Fever and Desaturation

ABSTRACT Background We report a 1‐month‐old infant admitted with fever, dyspnea, and desaturation after an unmonitored pregnancy in a migrant family. The patient rapidly required mechanical ventilation. Laboratory parameters were markedly elevated, suggesting an infectious etiology.
