Outbreak of haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome in Greece
European Journal of Clinical Microbiology, 1985An outbreak of eight cases of haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome in North-West Greece is presented. The major clinical manifestation was fever and all patients subsequently developed decreased renal function and proteinuria. The disease was diagnosed by rising antibody titers to the Hantaan virus.

Scandinavian Journal of Infectious Diseases, 1994A case of haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) complicated by spleen haemorrhage is described. The patient developed progressive anaemia, hypotension and signs of preshock. Computerized tomography demonstrated extensive haematoma in the spleen and splenectomy was performed.

Clinical characteristics of haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome in children
Pediatric Nephrology, 1992From January 1988 to September 1989, seven patients (4 girls and 3 boys, aged 3-12 years) with haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) were hospitalised at the University Children's Hospital in Belgrade. In four patients the disease appeared as a family outbreak, the others were sporadic cases.
