Abstract A climatological study of hailstorms is presented for the State of Wisconsin and for four first order weather stations: Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, and Milwaukee. The analysis considers the geographical and time distribution of hail and the ratio of monthly average number of hailstorms to monthly average number of thunderstorms.
