This work presents a novel, dynamically perfused, configurable microfluidic system for epidermis‐only (E and full‐thickness skin (FT SoC) growth, emulating human skin structure and barrier function. Upon TiO2 nanoparticle exposure, the system reveals compromised barrier integrity, reduced metabolic activity, increased permeability, and chemokine‐driven

We have developed a smart hair‐repair ingredient based on β‐carboxylic acid amide that undergoes negative‐to‐positive charge conversion under mildly acidic conditions. The initial negative charge facilitates deep penetration into the hair fiber, while the subsequent positive charge enables re‐bonding with sulfonate groups in damaged hair keratin.

A soft, stretchable, anti‐biofouling encapsulant is developed by integrating organosilicon nanowire networks with microstructured biodegradable elastomers. The hierarchical surface exhibits superhydrophobicity and enhances water barrier properties by 420% over pristine polymers, while preserving mechanical integrity.

Hairy Root Transformation in Lotus japonicus
In L. japonicus, hairy root transformation is the very useful technique to generate transformed root systems in a short term. This protocol was previously described (Kumagai and Kouchi, 2003) with some modifications. After the infection of Agrobacterium rhizogenes, L. japonicus develops not only transformed but also untransformed roots.

Dissolvable microneedle (MN) device containing Bacillus paralicheniformis. The polymeric matrix encapsulates and protects the bacteria, preserving their viability while enabling in situ production and release of γ‐polyglutamic acid. The bacteria are delivered into the skin via 500 µm‐long microneedles, and remain detectable on the skin 24 h post ...
