Establishing monoxenic culture of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus Glomus intraradices through root organ culture [PDF]
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi are soil fungi distributed worldwide, forming symbiosis with most of the vascular plants for their growth and survival, which is used for sustainable agriculture and ecosystem management.

Shape‐Reconfigurable Crack‐Based Strain Sensor with Ultrahigh and Tunable Sensitivity
A highly sensitive crack‐based sensor with tunable strain detection capabilities is demonstrated through controlled nanocrack formation in a line‐patterned shape memory polymer substrate. The sensor design integrates thermoplastic polyurethane and poly(lactic acid), enabling thermo‐responsive reconfiguration of crack geometry.

Exploring the production of high-value compounds in plant Catharanthus roseus hairy roots and yeast Yarrowia lipolytica [PDF]
This dissertation focuses on studying the production of two categories of high-value compounds in bio organisms. The first group is terpenoid indole alkaloids (TIAs) in plant Catharanthus roseus, and the second group is wax esters, one of fatty acid ...

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Injection-based hairy root induction and plant regeneration techniques in Brassicaceae
Background Hairy roots constitute a valuable tissue culture system for species that are difficult to propagate through conventional seed-based methods. Moreover, the generation of transgenic plants derived from hairy roots can be facilitated by employing

Superhydrophobicity on hairy surfaces [PDF]
We investigate the wetting properties of surfaces patterned with fine elastic hairs, with an emphasis on identifying superhydrophobic states on hydrophilic hairs. We formulate a two dimensional model of a large drop in contact with a row of equispaced elastic hairs and, by minimising the free energy of the model, identify the stable and metastable ...

Constraints on Hairy Kerr black hole with quasi-periodic oscillations [PDF]
The Hairy Kerr black hole is a novel black hole solution that depicts a rotating space-time encompassed by an axisymmetric fluid. It has significant observational importance and is an excellent candidate for an astrophysical black hole. Our study investigates the impact of the hairy charge on the quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) of X-ray binaries in ...

On instabilities of scalar hairy regular compact reflecting stars [PDF]
We study the system constructed by charged scalar fields linearly coupled to asymptotically flat horizonless compact reflecting stars. We obtain bounds on the charge of the scalar field, below which the scalar hairy star is expected to suffer from nonlinear instabilities.
