Oscillation of Half-Linear Differential Equations with Delay [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We study the half-linear delay differential equation , , We establish a new a priori bound for the nonoscillatory solution of this equation and utilize this bound to derive new oscillation criteria for this equation in terms of oscillation criteria for ...

Perturbations of Half-Linear Euler Differential Equation and Transformations of Modified Riccati Equation

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
We investigate transformations of the modified Riccati differential equation and the obtained results we apply in the investigation of oscillatory properties of perturbed half-linear Euler differential equation.

Two-Parametric Conditionally Oscillatory Half-Linear Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2011
We study perturbations of the nonoscillatory half-linear differential equation (r(t)Φ(x'))'+c(t)Φ(x)=0, Φ(x):=|x|p-2x, p>1. We find explicit formulas for the functions r̂, ĉ such that the equation [(r(t)+λr̂(t))Φ(x')]'+[c(t)+μĉ(t)]Φ(x)=0 is ...

Oscillation criteria for perturbed half-linear differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
Oscillatory properties of perturbed half-linear differential equations are investigated. We make use of the modified Riccati technique. A certain linear differential equation associated with the modified Riccati equation plays an important part. Improved

Hille–Nehari type criteria and conditionally oscillatory half-linear differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2019
We study perturbations of the generalized conditionally oscillatory half-linear equation of the Riemann–Weber type. We formulate new oscillation and nonoscillation criteria for this equation and find a perturbation such that the perturbed Riemann–Weber ...

Asymptotic properties for half-linear difference equations [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Bohemica, 2006
Summary: Asymptotic properties of the half-linear difference equation \[ \Delta (a_{n}| \Delta x_{n}| ^{\alpha }\text{sgn}\, \Delta x_{n} )=b_{n}| x_{n+1}| ^{\alpha }\text{sgn}\, x_{n+1} \tag{\(*\)} \] are investigated by means of some summation criteria.

Oscillation criteria for fourth order half-linear differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesArchivum Mathematicum, 2020
In this paper, the following fourth-order differential equation \[(|y^{\prime\prime}|^{\alpha}\operatorname{sgn}(y^{\prime\prime}))^{\prime\prime}+q(t)|y|^{\alpha}\operatorname{sgn}(y)=0,\quad t\geq a>0\] is considered, where \(\alpha\) is a positive constant and \(q:[a,\infty)\to(0,\infty)\) is a continuous function.

Oscillation criterion for Euler type half‐linear difference equations

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2023
We consider general classes of Euler type linear and half‐linear difference equations, which are conditionally oscillatory. Applying the adapted Riccati technique, we improve known oscillation criteria for these equations. More precisely, our presented main criterion is the full oscillatory counterpart of a non‐oscillation criterion.

ON CONNECTED HALF-LINEAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 1999
Summary: Relations among several classes of half-linear differential equations with or without delays are established. By means of these connections, the existence of eventually positive solutions can be inferred from the properties of either one of these families of equations.
