Criticality theory of half-linear equations with the (p,A)-Laplacian
We study positive solutions of half-linear second-order elliptic equations of the form $$Q_{A,V}(u):= -\mathrm{div} (|\nabla u|_{A}^{p-2}A(x)\nabla u)+ V(x)|u|^{p-2}u=0 \quad \mbox{in }Ω,$$ where ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Sturm comparison theorems for some elliptic type equations via Picone-tpye inequalities
Sturm theorems have appeared as one of the fundamental subjects in qualitative theory to determine properties of the solutions of differential equations. Motivated by some recent developments for half-linear type elliptic equations, we obtain Picone-type

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Lyapunov functions for linear nonautonomous dynamical equations on time scales [PDF]
The existence of a Lyapunov function is established following a method of Yoshizawa for the uniform exponential asymptotic stability of the zero solution of a nonautonomous linear dynamical equation on a time scale with uniformly bounded ...

Hille–Nehari type criteria and conditionally oscillatory half-linear differential equations
We study perturbations of the generalized conditionally oscillatory half-linear equation of the Riemann–Weber type. We formulate new oscillation and nonoscillation criteria for this equation and find a perturbation such that the perturbed Riemann–Weber ...

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
