A study on the mean free path and half value layer at various alloys for different photon energies
The mean free path (mfp) and half value layer (x(1/2)) values of binary and ternary alloys consist of 3d transition metals have been have been calculated at photon energies 22.1, 25.0, 59.5 and 88.0 keV.

Mailed thermoluminescent dosimeter determination of entrance skin exposure and half-value layer in mammography [PDF]
A method of providing in vivo measurement of entrance skin exposure for mammography using mailed thermoluminescent dosimeters has been developed. The dosimeters are calibrated to 137Cs (662 keV), and a correction is applied to account for energy response.

Investigation of gamma radiation shielding features for modified structural materials for nuclear energy and nuclear medicine [PDF]
In this paper, shielding characteristics of three concrete samples with different B4C,Fe3O4,and BaSO4 contents were examined by determining their theoretical and experimental mass attenuation coefficients at photon energies of 15 MeV.

Lead-borate glass system doped with Sm3+ ions for the X-ray shielding applications
The impact of varying Sm2O3 content on radiation shielding properties of 15PbF2: (65-x) B2O3: 20K2O:xSm2O3 (where 0 ≤ x ≤ 1.5 mol %) glass samples, was investigated by studying their physical, radio-luminescence and X-ray-shielding characteristics.
