Journal of Wildlife Diseases, 2021Severe cardiomegaly with an atrial septal defect was discovered during necropsy of a subadult White-tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) found dead in the wild. A thin membrane composed of fibromuscular tissue separated the left atrium into two chambers, most consistent with that described for cor triatriatum sinister (CTS) in other species.

Journal für Ornithologie, 2003Zwischen 1955 und 2000 wurden in den Seeadlerrevieren von Schleswig-Holstein systematisch Mauserfedern gesammelt. Berucksichtigt wurden 581 Schwanzfedern und 382 Handschwingen aus maximal 22 Brutrevieren (1999) und uber 300 Armschwingen, darunter 81 datierte aus den Jahren 1960 bis 1970.
