Ferroelectricity in Ultrathin Halide Perovskites

Nano Letters
Ferroelectricity has recently been demonstrated in germanium-based halide perovskites. We use first-principles-based simulations to study 4-18 nm CsGeBr3 films and develop a theory for ferroelectric ultrathin films. The theory introduces (i) a local order parameter, which identifies phase transitions into both monodomain and polydomain phases, and (ii)

Self-Trapped Excitons in All-Inorganic Halide Perovskites: Fundamentals, Status, and Potential Applications.

Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2019
Photoluminescence is a radiative recombination process of electron-hole pairs. Self-trapped excitons (STEs), occurring in a material with soft lattice and strong electron-phonon coupling, emit photons with broad spectrum and large Stokes shift. Recently,

Metal halide perovskites

Halide Perovskite Lasers

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2017
Solution-processed halide perovskites possess exceptional photovoltaic properties. Amazingly, these materials are also outstanding optical gain media. Amplified spontaneous emission and lasing have been demonstrated in various halide perovskite configurations and nanostructures with wavelengths tunable over the visible and infrared (400–1000 nm ...
