A variety of hamartomatous lesions have been described in the sinonasal tract. These include respiratory epithelial adenomatoid hamartoma (REAH), seromucinous hamartoma (SH), and nasal chondromesenchymal hamartoma (NCMH). REAH and SH, demonstrate significant morphologic overlap with each other and with reactive conditions, while also being described to

A case of hamartoma of the breast is reported and the literature reviewed. The clinical, radiological and pathological features of this rare condition are discussed, together with the difficulties in diagnosis. Familiarity with this lesion should enable it to be recognized more frequently in future.

AbstractMammary hamartomas are unusual lesions with distinctive radiologic and pathologic features. They are well circumscribed, mobile tumors showing no adherence to skin or muscle. Mammographic studies show a peripheral, luscent halo, and the mass is radiographically similar in pattern to a normal breast (“breast within a breast”).
