Hamilton’s Principle for Circuits with Dissipative Elements [PDF]
The classic form of Hamilton’s variational principle does not hold for circuits with dissipative elements. It is shown in the paper that this may not be true in the case of systems consisting of the so-called higher-order elements.

On the coupling of Hamilton's principle and thermodynamic extremal principles [PDF]
Extremal principles can generally be divided into two rather distinct classes. There are, on the one hand side, formulations based on the Lagrangian or Hamiltonian mechanics, respectively, dealing with time dependent problems, but essentially resting on conservation of energy and thus being not applicable to dissipative systems in a consistent way.

Extended framework of Hamilton’s principle for single-degree-of-freedom nonlinear damping systems
The paper explores application of the variational formalism called extended framework of Hamilton’s principle to nonlinear damping systems. Single-degree-of-freedom systems with dominant source of nonlinearity from polynomial powers of the velocity are ...

Nonlinear Torsional Vibration Analysis of Nanorods in the Presence of Surface Energy Effect: Multi-Mode Galerkin Method [PDF]
In this paper, the nonlinear torsional vibrations and internal resonances of nanorods are investigated by considering the surface energy effects. For this purpose, Hamilton’s principle is implemented to derive the nonlinear governing equation of motion ...

Long-term stability of cylindrical shells of viscoelastic composites
On the grounds of Hamilton's principle the system of linear integral equations has been obtained for the solution of stability problems of cylindrical shells made of viscoelastic composite materials by the finite element method.

Size-dependent Nonlinear Forced Vibration Analysis of Viscoelastic/Piezoelectric Nano-beam [PDF]
In this paper, the nonlinear forced vibration of isotropic viscoelastic/ piezoelectric Euler-Bernoulli nano-beam is investigated. For this purpose, the consistent couple stress theory is utilized for modeling the viscoelastic/piezoelectric nano-beam ...

A model of integral quantum [PDF]
The author thinks that the existing quantum mechanics is incomplete in nature and that a new model of quantum needs to be created to resolve this problem of incompleteness.

Construction of a functional by a given second-order Ito stochastic equation
In this article, we consider the problem of extending Hamilton’s principle to the class of natural mechanical systems with random perturbing forces of white noise type.
